Alžbětiny lázně (Elizabeth’s Spa (Lázně V/Spa V) is the largest spa facility in the Czech Republic. The building in French style was completed in 1906 and its inauguration took place in the same year. A park with flower beds and a fountain, in which the building is situated, makes it even more romantic. The spa building offers the spa guests as well as the public a newly reconstructed swimming pool complex. The large spa-centre utilizes for therapy the natural curative resources available in Karlovy Vary. Predominantly it is hot spring water and peat. Alžbětiny lázně belongs to the largest consumers of hot spring water in Karlovy Vary.
